University of Jordan and Arab American University in Jenin Sign Cooperation Agreement

To strengthen academic cooperation and support efforts to enhance medical education in the region, the University of Jordan (UJ) today signed a cooperation agreement with the Arab American University in Jenin, Palestine. 

 
This agreement aims to enable medical students from the Arab American University to undergo clinical training at the University of Jordan Hospital, under the highest academic and medical standards.

 
The agreement was signed by UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and Arab American University President, Prof. Baraa Asfour, in the presence of UJ's Vice Presidents, Director of UJ Hospital, Dean of the School of Medicine, and Director of the International Affairs Unit as well as the accompanying Palestinian delegation.

 
Obeidat emphasized the importance of this cooperation in enriching the educational and training experience for medical students at both universities. He pointed out that training at the University Hospital will allow students to benefit from an advanced medical and educational environment that keeps pace with the latest developments in the medical field. 

 
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab American University, Dr. Yousef Asfour, expressed his pride in this partnership with the University of Jordan. He praised its prestigious position and long-standing expertise in medical education, as well as its role in preparing qualified medical personnel.

 
In turn, Dr. Baraa Asfour emphasized that this agreement represents a step towards developing the clinical skills of medical students at the Arab American University and enabling them to acquire quality training experiences that contribute to qualifying them for the medical job market.

 
The agreement stipulates the training of medical students at the clinical levels (fourth, fifth, and sixth years) in various departments of the UJ Hospital, according to the curriculum and standards approved by the School of Medicine at the University. This will contribute to developing their clinical skills and qualifying them according to the best medical practices.
