​The Board of Trustees of the University of Jordan (UJ) has decided during a meeting held under the chairmanship of Prof. Adnan Badran, and upon the recommendation of UJ Presidents Prof. Nathir Obeidat, to effect major academic reshuffle at the University as of the beginning of the academic year  2024/2025 academic year. The appointments are as follows:

First: The Board of Trustees, based on the recommendation of the University President, decided to appoint:

1. Prof. Amira Al-Masri as Vice President for Quality and Local Accreditation Affairs.

2. Prof. Ayman Mohammed Wahbeh as Dean of the School of Medicine.

3. Prof. Yaser Mohammed Al-Rayyan as Dean of Academic Research.

4. Prof. Samer Dahiyat as Dean of the School of Business.

5. Prof. Basel Mahafzah as Dean of the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology.

6. Dr. Marwan Al-Jarrah as Acting Dean of the School of Foreign Languages.

Second: The Board, based on the recommendation of the University President, accepted the resignation of Prof. Adnan Al-Smadi as Dean of the School of Foreign Languages.

Third: The Board of Trustees, based on the recommendation of the University President, renewed the appointments of the following deans:

1. Prof. Mahmoud Al-Jaghoub as Dean of the School of Science.

2. Prof. Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani as Dean of the School of Sharia.

3. Prof. Zaid Al-Bitar as Dean of the School of Dentistry.

4. Prof. Kamal Al-Hadidi as Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences.

5. Prof. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud as Dean of the School of Educational Sciences.

6. Prof. Areej Othman as Dean of the School of Nursing.

7. Prof. Rula Darwish as Dean of the School of Pharmacy.

Additionally, the Board decided to continue the appointments of the following deans:

1. Prof. Mohammad Al-Qudah as Dean of the School of Arts.

2. Prof. Ayed Al-Abdallat as Dean of the School of Agriculture.

3. Prof. Suhail Haddadin as Dean of Graduate Studies.

4. Prof. Hassan Al-Saud as Dean of the School of Sport Sciences.

5. Prof. Hassan Al-Momani as Dean of the Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies and Political Science.

6. Prof. Ali Abu Ghanima as Dean of the School of Arts and Design.

7. Prof. Mohammd shiyab as Dean of Student Affairs.

8. Prof. Ziad Alrawadieh as Dean of the School of Archaeology and Tourism.

9. Prof. Menwer Attarakih as Dean of the School of Engineering.

10. Prof. Basem Melhem as Dean of the School of Law.

The Board also decided to continue the appointments of the following Vice Presidents:

• Prof. Ashraf Abu Karaki as Vice President for Scientific Schools.

• Prof. Nahed Emaish as Vice President for Humanities Schools.

• Prof. Faleh Sawair as Vice President for International Rankings and Accreditation.

• Prof. Ziad Hawamdeh as Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

• Prof. Nazih Al-Batoush as President of the Aqaba Branch.

Aqaba Branch:

• Prof. Ibrahim Al-Kurdi was appointed Dean of the School of Tourism and Hospitality.

• Dr. Mohammad Al-Maharmah was appointed Acting Dean of the School of Business.

• Dr. Hala Abu Taleb was appointed Acting Dean of the School of Languages.

• Dr. Issam Alhadid was appointed Acting Dean of the School of Information Systems and Technology.

Furthermore, UJ President has appointed Prof. Inaam Khalaf as Advisor to the President for Community Service and Strategic Planning.
