The University of Jordan (UJ) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Eureka Tech Academy, a pioneering Jordan-based institution specializing in technology education for children and youth, aimed at strengthening cooperation in technological education and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.

The agreement was signed by UJ president Prof. Nathir Obeidat and Founder and General Manager of Eureka Tech Academy Afnan Ali.

Under the MoU, the two sides will launch joint initiatives including organizing technology-focused events, activities, and competitions; implementing specialized training programs that promote innovation and entrepreneurship; and creating opportunities for UJ students to engage in internships and employment through Eureka’s initiatives. The collaboration also includes the joint development of scientific and technical educational content by Eureka in cooperation with UJ.

The agreement further provides for the exchange of technical and academic expertise, the use of certain UJ facilities for joint programs, and special discounts for children of UJ employees enrolling in Eureka’s programs.

Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Dr. Reem AlFayez affirmed that this collaboration aligns with the University’s strategy to build strong partnerships with leading institutions in technological education and to empower a generation capable of using technology to advance sustainable development and the knowledge economy.

For her part, Afnan Ali expressed her pride in partnering with UJ, emphasizing that this cooperation will help instill a culture of creativity and innovation among children and youth, particularly in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and engineering, while expanding the reach of Eureka’s educational programs.
