The University of Jordan (UJ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the educational platform “Ana Akhtar,” marking the beginning of a collaborative effort to enhance social, emotional, and behavioural learning through innovative digital solutions.
The MoU was signed by UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and Eman Al-Otaibi, CEO and Founder of “Ana Akhtar”, in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Adnan Badran. Also in attendance were Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Ziad Hawamdeh, and Vice President for Scientific Schools, Prof. Ashraf Abu Karaky, along with members of the university and the platform team.
In his remarks, Obeidat emphasised the university’s strong commitment to fostering educational innovation and its openness to strategic partnerships that introduce impactful tools into the learning environment. He noted that this collaboration aligns with UJ’s broader vision of equipping students with the skills they need to thrive both personally and academically.
For his part, Badran highlighted the urgency of embracing digital education in an increasingly fast-paced world. He stated that smart learning platforms are no longer a luxury but a necessity in modern education, playing a key role in improving content delivery and student engagement at all levels.
In turn, Al-Otaibi expressed her pride in partnering with UJ, describing the platform as a bilingual, culturally responsive digital tool designed to help learners build essential life skills. Grounded in globally recognised educational frameworks such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, CASEL, and Montessori, the platform offers interactive, real-world scenarios that foster self-awareness, decision-making, and social-emotional growth.
The MoU sets the stage for future collaboration, enabling both parties to explore ways to integrate digital tools that support broader educational objectives and foster a more holistic learning experience.
This initiative reflects UJ’s commitment to advancing education through innovative and inclusive practices, preparing students to meet the challenges of tomorrow with resilience, empathy, and adaptability.
