UJ Congratulates Hashemite Leadership, Jordanian People on 79th Independence Day

The University of Jordan (UJ) extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and to the Jordanian people on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, expressed on behalf of the university family — including faculty, administrative staff, and students — his pride and appreciation for this cherished occasion, affirming that Independence Day, a milestone in Jordan’s history, embodies the sacrifices and struggles of the founders in building a free homeland.

Obeidat emphasized that independence is the result of a great national struggle, culminating in the establishment of the modern Jordanian state. He stressed UJ's commitment to its national and academic mission in serving the country and advancing its developmental journey under the wise Hashemite leadership.

He concluded his message with a prayer that God may bring this occasion back to Jordan, its leadership, and its people with more progress and prosperity.
