UJ and University of Auckland Sign Academic Cooperation Agreement

The University of Jordan (UJ) signed an academic cooperation agreement with the University of Auckland in New Zealand, aiming to strengthen academic collaboration and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed on behalf of UJ by its President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and on behalf of the University of Auckland by its Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Strategic Engagement, Prof. Erik Lithander.

The agreement establishes a joint scholarship program under which students from UJ will be treated as local students regarding tuition fees for Ph.D. programs offered at the University of Auckland.

Additionally, the agreement includes organizing joint lectures and workshops on scholarship programs and available academic and research opportunities. These events will be overseen by the International Affairs Unit at UJ and the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Auckland.

This agreement aligns with UJ's vision to enhance its global academic standing and expand partnerships with internationally ranked universities. The University of Auckland is one of New Zealand’s leading research institutions, currently ranked 65th in the QS World University Rankings for 2025.
