​The University of Jordan (UJ) scholar Dr. Yasmin Murad has been awarded the 2024 Early Career Award of the British Emerald Publishing, which acknowledges the achievements of early career researchers in the field of structural integrity and failure.

Murad was selected from among a large number of nominees in recognition of her research contributions in the field of structural integrity. Murad is an accomplished researcher who has published nearly 50 papers in the Scopus journals, and is one of the most cited researchers, ranking 34th among UJ's researchers.

Murad dedicated the award for UJ, its professors, and students, expressing pride for being part of the university, the School of Engineering, and the Department of Civil Engineering.
