Embassy of Panama Holds Lecture at UJ

​The Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Jordan, Dr. José Ulises Lescora, lectured to Language students at the University of Jordan (UJ) about the history and culture of his country.

At the beginning of the lecture, the Ambassador said that the two countries, although far apart, have many commonalities, pointing to his country's keenness to enhance partnership with Jordan.

He also thanked UJ for the opportunity to hold this meeting, presenting to the students the features of his country and the importance of its strategic geographic location, linking the two Americas, noting that Panama is called “bridge of the world, heart of the universe.”

His deputy, Rolando Hamblin displayed short videos and a presentation about his country, and the establishment and expansion of the Panama Canal, which ownership was transferred to the State of Panama in 1999.

The lecture was attended by the  Deputy Dean of the School for Administrative Affairs and Partnerships, Dr. Hala Abu Talib, the Dean’s Assistants. The Ambassador was received by the Dean of the School, Prof. Adnan Al-Samadi.
