​The University of Jordan (UJ) Vice President for International Relations and Partnerships, Prof. Nahed Omeish, on Wednesday discussed with the Scientific and University Cooperation Attaché at the French Embassy, Billy Troy, prospects of joint cooperation in the academic and cultural fields.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Prof. Adnan Al-Samadi and Director of the International Affairs Unit, Dr. Sameh Al-Zubaidi.

The two sides discussed scenarios to activate academic partnerships with a number of French universities, and the possibility of providing scholarships at the doctoral level in specializations such as French language, law, and STEM disciplines.

The meeting also tackled organizing joint meetings, exchanging students and faculty members, and supporting the French corner at the School of Foreign Languages and activating its role as a cultural platform for the French language division.
