The University of Jordan (UJ) Vice President for Accreditation, Global Rankings, and Sustainability, Prof. Faleh Sawair, met with the Senior Advisor to the Provost for Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship, and Multidisciplinary Projects at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Dr. Fadia Homeidan, to discuss cooperation in the management of externally funded grants and research projects.
The meeting, attended by the Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Yaser Al-Rayyan, and the Deputy Dean for Research Projects, Prof. Latifa Ali Dardas, focused on developing the university’s system for handling externally supported grants, improving operational procedures, and enhancing performance efficiency.
During the visit, Homeidan was briefed on the project management mechanisms adopted at the University of Jordan. Specialists presented an overview of current workflows, followed by a technical discussion on best practices and potential areas of development within the context of experience exchange between the two institutions.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Homeidan was honored in recognition of her efforts in supporting the management of externally funded research projects and her role in fostering cooperation between the two universities.
Sawair emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise to advance the university’s research performance and expand its participation in global projects aligned with national and institutional priorities.
For her part, Homeidan expressed her appreciation for the recognition and affirmed her readiness to continue collaborating with the University of Jordan in areas related to research project management and external funding.
