The University of Jordan (UJ), represented by its President Prof. Nathir Obeidat, visited the Institute of Medicine at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University) as part of his official program in Moscow. Obeidat met with the Director of the Institute of Medicine, Aleksey Abramov, to explore practical mechanisms for strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.
The discussion focused on promising areas of collaboration, including faculty exchanges, student mobility, and the establishment of joint research groups. Both sides underscored their shared commitment to enhancing medical education and supporting high-quality teaching.
The two parties also emphasized the importance of formalizing cooperation through a memorandum of understanding between UJ’s School of Medicine and RUDN University’s Institute of Medicine, providing a structured foundation for future collaboration in medical training, clinical practice, and research.
At the end of the meeting, Obeidat toured the institute’s departments, laboratories, and teaching facilities. He praised the progress achieved and commended the institute’s dedication to rigorous medical training and research excellence.
