University of Jordan Participates in International Seminar on Islam, Law, and Civilizational Transformation

The University of Jordan (UJ), represented by its School of Sharia, took part in an international seminar organized by the Faculty of Sharia at UIN Raden Intan State Islamic University of Lampung, Indonesia, and held under the theme “Islam, Law, and the Transformation of Civilization.” The seminar was conducted virtually on Wednesday.

Dean of the School of Sharia Prof. Abdul Rahman Alkilani discussed the vital role of Islamic values and Sharia-based legislation in shaping civilizational progress and societal transformation. He illustrated his remarks with historical and contemporary examples that highlight the central role of justice and moral principles in achieving sustainable development and human progress.

The event gathered prominent scholars and experts from several Islamic countries, fostering intellectual exchange on themes of renaissance and development.Alkilani was presented with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his scholarly contribution.

The School of Sharia reaffirmed its commitment to expanding UJ’s global academic partnerships and promoting scholarly dialogue that reflects the university’s vision of excellence and leadership in education and research.
