On the occasion of World Teachers' Day, University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Nathir Obeidat extended his warmest greetings and best wishes, on behalf of himself and the entire university community, to all Jordanian teachers.
Obeidat noted that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) designated October 5 of each year as a day to celebrate teachers, in recognition of their achievements and their vital role in the development of societies and the advancement of nations.
He emphasised that the teaching profession will always remain the cornerstone of national progress, as teachers are role models, carriers of a noble message, and lasting influences on the hearts and minds of their students.
Obeidat also praised the sincere efforts of UJ’s faculty members, commending their continuing contributions to science, research, and community service.
He further expressed his pride in the teachers of UJ School, highlighting their dedication and commitment to nurturing future generations, refining students’ skills, and developing their abilities.
He concluded by affirming that their work reflects a deep sense of belonging to the university and its mission, expressing appreciation and respect for every teacher in the country.
