The University of Jordan (UJ) ranked first in Jordan and 9th in the Arab in the July edition 20th Anniversary Edition (2004-2023) of the Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics).
The Ranking is based on 3 indicators. It assigns 50% of the mark to the impact of the university's web contents, based on the number of external networks (subnets) linking to the institution's webpages, it also assigns a weight of 10% to top cited researchers and 40% to Top cited papers.
The infrastructure of linked pages of UJ's websites has been updated and modernized were also used, and moved to new high efficiency servers, and latest methods adopted to improve links and increase their quality, such as “Ahrefs” tool.
The UJ Information Technology Center seeks, in the context of promoting digital transformation and automating procedures highlighted in the strategic plan of the University of Jordan (2022/2027), and other similar achievements.
