The University of Jordan (UJ) announces its decision to withdraw from the Times Higher Education (THE) University Rankings.

This decision reflects our concerns about the evolving methodology of the rankings and practices that affect the fairness and integrity of the evaluation process. This concern is further exemplified by THE’s introduction of a paid subscription model for the Impact Rankings, which we believe creates a barrier to equitable and transparent assessment of universities’ contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We have concluded that the current framework does not align with UJ’s commitment to ethical and transparent representation of our performance.

The University of Jordan remains dedicated to accountability and will continue to participate in other transparent ranking systems and quality assurance mechanisms that reflect our values and multifaceted contributions to education and society.
